Full Description
Set sail from Bayahibe in a 45-foot engine boat for a scenic ride to Saona Island, part of the protected Cotubanamá National Park. As you cruise, your guide will share stories of the Taino natives and point out mangroves and coastal cliffs.
Your first major stop is Mano Juan, the only inhabited village on Saona. Here, you’ll visit a local turtle nursery where conservation efforts help protect endangered sea turtles. Depending on the timing, you might even see hatchlings.
Next, you’ll head to the secluded Canto de la Playa, a peaceful beach known for its immaculate white sand and turquoise water. You’ll have time for snorkeling or simply relaxing in this postcard-perfect setting.
After soaking up the sun, a traditional Dominican lunch awaits in Mano Juan — expect rice, grilled meat, salads, tropical fruits, and more.
Then it’s off to the famous Natural Pool, a shallow, warm area in the sea with starfish underfoot. You can swim, wade, and take in the surreal beauty around you.
The crew ensures your comfort with drinks (including rum, soda, water), snacks, and beach towels. There’s also a friendly, knowledgeable guide throughout, and a photographer to capture your best moments.
Finally, you’ll return to Bayahibe, filled with memories of an unforgettable day at sea.
