From the colossal Christ of Havana to the massive colonial fortresses that once protected the city from pirates, this tour offers a deep dive into the stories that shaped the Cuban capital.
✨ Highlights
? Bay Crossing: Set sail on a traditional boat across the Bay of Havana to the Casablanca pier.
? Christ of Havana: Marvel at the 20-meter white marble sculpture overlooking the city.
?️ Revolutionary History: Visit the Comandancia del Che, where Ernesto "Che" Guevara stayed after the revolution.
? Colonial Fortresses: Explore the Castle of the Three Kings of Morro and the San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress.
? Morro Lighthouse: End your tour at the foot of the iconic lighthouse for stunning sunset views.
? Full Description We begin our journey at Aracelio Iglesias Park, where we board a local ferry to cross the sparkling waters of Havana Bay. Upon arriving in the Casablanca neighborhood, we are greeted by the majestic Christ of Havana statue, which offers one of the best panoramic views of Old Havana. Nearby, we’ll visit the command post used by Che Guevara in 1959 and the Military History Museum, where wreckage from the 1962 missile crisis is on display.
As we walk along the ridges, we’ll explore the 18th-century San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress, the largest colonial military installation in the Americas. We’ll continue to the Three Kings of Morro Castle, the historic bastion that guarded the entrance to the harbor. The tour finishes at the iconic Morro Lighthouse at 8:00 PM. We highly recommend staying in the area to witness the traditional 9:00 PM Cannon Shooting Ceremony (El Cañonazo), a nightly ritual dating back to the colonial era.
